February has seen construction work completed on the ladies 2nd & 18th tees plus the men’s medal tee on the 9th hole has been re-built. These areas were re- turfed during the week ending 21/2/09. This work having been delayed, due to the snow.
During this period we also carried out some tree pruning work on holes 3, 6, 12, 15 & 16. Hopefully this will help enhance the visual appearance whist also helping to improve the speed of play with balls being easier to both find and play.
During March work to upgrade the bunkers will continue and will continue on a regular basis throughout the playing in this way we hope to answer some of the criticisms levelled at them in previous years. Work to tidy the paths will continue although again been hampered by the weather during February.
We will be over seeding both tees & greens as the weather permits, the success we have had in keeping the course open for the bulk of the winter combined,
with relaxed rules governing the use of trolleys and the use of greens approaches in frosty conditions has inevitably caused worn areas where foot traffic has been most prevalent. Sadly this has been made worse by golfers ignoring hoops and ropes in certain areas. Please take great care when walking especially past greens and give them a wide berth.

recommendation for the past 18 months that rakes are to be left OUTSIDE bunkers despite this we are continually having to move them due to lack of cooperation from the playing public, please do your bit to help
