Wrexham ladies played their Medal Finals a week last Tuesday which recorded a win for Janet Brand with 85 – 18 – 67 followed by
Mary Bainbridge
with 99 – 22 – 77 and Carole Jones third on 97 – 19 – 78.
The Stableford
competition run concurrently with the Medal finals was won by Shirley Williams on 37 points following a count back down to the last six holes before Mary Clarke was announced as being the runner up on the same score.
This immediate past Tuesday was the occasion of the Ormrod Bowl which required a best gross and best net as well as Silver and Bronze division winners.
Pam Valentine took the best gross with her 81 to win the Bowl with Jacqueline Williams winning the overall best net score for her 98 – 28 – 70.
The Silver division went to Janet Brand with 89 – 16 – 73 followed by Elaine Darlington on 89 – 15 – 74.
Jacqueline won the Bronze with her 70 net and she was followed by Tessa Hughes with 104 – 29 – 75.
