It requires eight players with the best net scores to compete in match play with the final being contested on Finals Day in September. The leading qualifiers with their net scores are Richard Godbold, 66; Phil Guest, 66; Mike Jones, 66; Alec Lucas, 67; Paul Lloyd, 67; Dennis Humphries, 68; Oliver Hughes, 69 and Andrew Harper, 69.

Lewis Jones was runner up with 76 – 9 – 67.
